Although there have been many new launches in the low-alcohol sector in recent times, Drinkwell aims to meet the market for those who want to retain the ABV but cut the calorie and sugar content. One of Drinkwell’s selling points is that it provides clear dietary labelling on its products so that health-conscious customers can keep track of what they are consuming. Earlier this year, the online retailer also launched what it claimed to be the UK’s first biodegradable on-the-go plastic water bottles.

Drinkwell has secured £1m investment from a private investor which will support its expansion plans. The business will use the money to grow its team and work on product development including the launch of two new brands: Lean Brew IPA and Traces Wine. The brand also wants to add several new features to its retail business, expand into the European market, and increase its marketing to further build its brand.
