With the global EV charger market expected to grow from $3.23 billion in 2020 to nearly $11 billion in 2025
Pod Point who spent £3.5m on advertising in the last two quarters has signed a partnership with Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz to be its preferred supplier of domestic electric car charging points to UK customers. Pod Point has a leading position in installing home EV charging points with an estimated market share of 50 to 60%. It also has an estimated share of up to 20% of the workplace charging market. Its CEO Erik Fairbairn said the company was keen to increase investment in infrastructure which drivers can access during their journeys or when reaching their destination, such as at supermarkets. Which also means continuous investment in marketing to raise brand awareness.
