Waterdrop, manufacturer of microdrink – compact hydration cubes that dissolve in water – recorded the fastest growth in Europe. The company’s mission is to inspire the growing global community to drink more water through the world’s first microdrink while providing an innovative packaging solution with a strong impact on reducing the environmental footprint. 

To reach its consumers the company spent £3.5m on advertising in Q2 and a search for an agency partner will be imminent to help with its next stage of growth.

In addition to microdrink, the company has also created microtea, a hot drink from the finest fruit and plant extracts which does not require preparation time or tea bags.

Waterdrop is present in 13 markets in Europe and the US, and aims to expand into Asian markets. It also has 19 stores.  The company’s expansion has been fuelled by a steady 400% increase since its launch in 2017. To date, more than 200 million microdrinks have been sold to more than 1 million customers worldwide.
